What Time Is It in Taiwan Right Now?

Reading the Asia/Taipei Record and Its UTC Offset

Daylight Saving Time and Why It Was Dropped

Too little to gain. At twenty-two to twenty-five degrees north the day varies by around three hours between the solstices, which is modest, and the savings never justified the disruption. Once the practice stopped, nothing has moved the clock since, and no proposal to revive it has gone anywhere.
